Catch The Big One!Remember

and sizes of your catch! Please review the regulations pamphlet for details.
Here are some of the species available:
Walleye
Traditionally
found around structured areas, these tasty fish are found all over Lake Windermere!
20" plus walleye are caught on a daily basis by our guests, with the exceptional few being over
30" caught yearly. If you are looking for an interesting catch, we have a nice population of
blue phase walleye. These fish will be an aqua blue color instead of the traditional golden
yellow walleye that are typically caught.
Smallmouth
Bass
Lake Windermere
has some areas that are studded with rocky outcropping that make it great
for bass fishing. Throw a cast or two on the edge and get ready. Our angles enjoy
catching 17" - 19" smallmouth bass on a regular basis
Great
Northern Pike
With the
wide variety of habitat and drop-offs, you may get lucky and catch a BIG ONE!
On a regular basis a guest catches one 40" or above.
Lake Trout
With depths
in excess of 100 feet, Lake Windermere offers the perfect home for the toughest
fish you'll likely find at the end of your line. Tough to catch, but well
worth the effort. During the peak season, Lake Trout in the 30" plus size range are
a great fight to remember.
White
Fish
White
Fish are a restaurant favorite that is not only fun to catch, but even more
fun to eat! If you haven't ever caught a whitefish, a 20" whitefish with its
wide, broad body will fight like a fish twice its size. Whitefish, by far are
the best fighting fish for their size.
*The pictures on our website will not have show all the large fish caught by
our anglers due to catch and release practices. We would like to personally thank
our anglers who help keep Windermere Lake an excellent fishery due to their
conservation practices for a better future.
